What is haikProject?

We at haikProject beleive that there are 5 major cornerstone issues. Let me put it this way, if there was a parenting liscence, these 5 issues would be among the first in the list.

Childbirth

Childbirth is the most magnificent and miraculous experience of our life-cycle; the most powerful event of nature! haikProject views birth as a natural event, not as medical emergency!

Umbilical Cord

Umbilical cord cutting is one of the central issues of haikProject. Immediate Cord Clamping (ICC) and premature severing of the cord go against the evolutionary mechanisms of human organism

Co-sleeping

haikProject encourages co-sleeping and /or bed-sharing with one or both parents, as the most natural and safe way of sleeping for the first years of child’s life, if taken a few necessary precautions.

Breastfeeding

haikProject is a staunch advocate of breastfeeding for the first years of life not only for the multiple physical and psychological benefits for the child but also for the numerous benefits for the mother.

Circumcision

To Cut or not to Cut? Circumcision is the removal of the double layered fold of skin that covers the glans (head) of the penis.
